Campaign Overview:

In an ongoing effort to expand its outreach and brand recognition beyond its home territory of Japan, Psychic VR Lab enlisted the help of Tiny Brains. Having released its STYLY platform several years prior, the Metaverse company tasked us to promote its affiliated NEWVIEW Awards whilst expanding its NEWVIEW School into the UK.

The NEWVIEW Awards celebrate artists using the STYLY VR/AR platform, drawing worldwide appeal for the final exhibition and show in Tokyo. Tiny Brains adopted a transmedia strategy that involved direct press outreach, and social media campaigns whilst facilitating remote coverage of the event during the pandemic.

For the NEWVIEW School, this required the extensive creation of a UK-focused curriculum adapted from the Japanese school. Partnerships with educational organisations like Southwark College were also entered into, providing innovative technologies for attending students, while guest lecturers from RiVR, PWC, DOUBLEME and more offered detailed breakdowns of the implementations of their specialist technologies.

Campaign Results:

Tiny Brains achieved extensive coverage in Western media outlets for Psychic VR Lab. This created renewed worldwide interest in the NEWVIEW School, thus providing a wide pool of creative talent entering the NEWVIEW Awards.

Following this international growth championed by Tiny Brains, Psychic VR Lab continued to expand with the creation of a school in Toronto, Canada, and partnering with Parsons School of Design in New York.
